on the last lecture for CCTS subject, we reviewed all the topic that we already covered.  The lecturer also gave some tips that might help us for the upcoming exam.  At the end of the lesson, I feel that this course really helpful to me as future teachers as well as develop my thinking in all aspects. And i hope the knowledge i’ve got from this subject i can apply it into my teaching and i think this will be helpful and useful to me.

Higher Order Thinking Skills a.k.a HOTs is a skills that we learned in our lecture. i think we learned it for 2 weeks. HOT is very important to develop students’ thinking. as it to make them more critical and creative in thinking. Besides,  we also have been taught the guidelines to develop multiple-choice (MCQ) questions and the advantages and limitations of MCQ. this topic is very important to help us to be a teacher who can manage to make questions that improve students’ thinking.

According to Bono, creative is bringing into being something that was not there before.  We learn about the characteristics of creative persons for example, creative persons are inquisitive, stable personality and open minded.  Besides, we discover the steps and limitations in creative thinking. it gives a huge image of all about creative and relates it with our teaching and also learning.

What is thinking?

For me, thinking is a process in our brain to produce information in order to solve problems or to create something new. From our first lecture I learn what thinking is and why we as teachers need to teach student thinking. The reason is to encourage the students to be able to think critically and creatively on their own way. As teachers we should embed teaching thinking skills in our subject according to the syllabus.

As thinking process includes knowledge, attitude value and cognitive skills, these components should be mastered by us who will become teacher. From the lecture, I found that most of the words that relate to thinking are words that we usually use in planning our lesson plan in learning objectives section. For example, to invent, to predict, etc.

Hi there! First of all, thank you for giving me a piece of your time to read my blog or just passing by at my blog. Anyway, just want to share some stories about myself. I have big family ermm.. not too big I guess hehe.. I have an older sister, an older brother, two younger brothers and a younger sister, my mom and my dad. All my family members except those who still in school or college are teachers. You can say that I live in the school’s environment..(actually, not really)

My vision… I want to be a good student achieving something that I’m able to achieve.

My goals….I want to make my parents proud of who I am. I want to enjoy my life to the fullest but did not forget where I stand, my believe. But I tend to live in a simple life without much commitment with others.. I’m happy to be myself.

Hello world!
